Hi I have a few ambiguities regarding Flashburn v4.5. I have downloaded and installed "free trial" version of Flash burn. I am using code composer studio v5.5 and working on TI TMS320C6416 dsk. Following this link http://www.softwaredesignsolutions.com/References/GettingStarted.pdf I have done till step 11. Now my question is that I can not find Flash burn in any of the options in my CCS.? I don't have board right now. but it still says "connected successfully" after step 5. What is it connecting to if there is no board physically present? Does it come in package with TMS320C6416 or I will have to purchase Flash burn separately from here and Dsk from Texas Instruments? Thanks. Maheen

Hello Maheem,
FlashBurn is separate from Code Composer Studio. It uses Code Composer to communicate with the hardware, but you launch and run FlashBurn independent of Code Composer. See this link for details: http://www.softwaredesignsolutions.com/References/FlashBurnHow.pdf
When you are connected to the DSK6416 with the DSK version of FlashBurn, you are programming the flash which is on the DSK6416 board.
If you have a custom board, then you will use the FlashBurn Porting Kit product to modify the flash programming algorithm to match your board and your flash.
